Something Fishy

Maya, you like fish. A lot. As you may have noticed by the Beta on our mantle, the aquarium in your crib, and our membership to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

So we headed down there last weekend on a day trip, because we try to take you on adventures beyond The Valleyburbs as much as possible. In fact, we're preparing for two adventures this weekend, and they will allow us to take some fun pictures around San Francisco (watch out Sweet Juniper!)

One of my favorite things to see is The Big Tank. Fortunately for us, we arrived just as the scheduled feeding was about to take place. What a unique opportunity to see 600 lb Tunas and those bizarre Pacific Sunfish get into a mad feeding frenzy!

Unfortunately, it is also your favorite place to become wildly overstimulated. And when Big Tank Overstimulation is combined with a room full of people being quiet and orderly, sometimes we have to leave early. You know I think when you beat on the side of the aquarium and yell FISH!!! at the giant fish is one of the cutest things ever. But... Time to head outside and take a walk!

Monterey Bay is really beautiful. It is nice to be able to spend a Saturday morning here with my two favorite ladies.

It was a nice day out as we took in the view,

"but Da-da, you said we were going to come outside to take a walk! I'm going to take a walk now!"

Ah yes, the fish. We love to watch the fish...

More to come, as usual I am frantically behind. You are such an easy target to photograph and write about. And fun to have around! Check out the video of the feeding and you'll see what we have to look forward to next time...
