Just a very few of my absolute favorites to follow.
We did it! We made it to Buck's right on time, and had a wonderful breakfast. You were a little angel and even stayed in your seat, without us having to chase you around the restaurant much. Which is amazing after all those jelly beans you ate. But you did manage to find a hand print (you are really into making them) that was done by Shaquille O'Neil, and you thought your hands fit into it just fine.

We made it to the beach, and you wasted no time getting some sun on your most white parts!

You and mom played 'Throw Sand in the River' for a while, you're really good at that game. By the way, isn't San Gregorio Beach freaking beautiful?!? We love taking you here.

We dug you a hole in the sand, so deep water started filling into it! Made a great place to cool off the feet.

After you got soaking wet, you got a little relief in the diaper department. I see the moon!!

How could we not think you were the sweetest little angel with a face like this?

Then it was time, as it so often is, for a spirited game of Sticks. I'm not sure what all the rules are in this game, you are really the only one who truly knows how to play it.

After a long time of playing in the sand and the water and with our sticks, it was time for a little hike. The tiny yellow flowers were blooming, the waves were huge and crashing, and the sky was clear blue. What an amazing day.

The view to the south is like one of those Northern California travel books. I suppose that's because it is in most of the Northern California travel books. It is all cliffs and bluffs and bridges and sand and trees and water.

View of the water from the bluffs, while you sat in a gopher hole and looked for pebbles.

I suppose not surprisingly, the view to the north is much like the view to the south. This beach goes 3 miles to the north, I don't think we've ever made it more than several hundred yards up the beach.

You are looking pretty sweet in Momma's glasses!

I'd pretend that you did this on your own, but maybe you had a little help from dad.

Ok, this one is one of my favorites. You were insisting on easter candy, so Momma hooked you up. This is the first time you'd ever encountered "Open your mouth and close your eyes and you will get a big surprise!!!"

A little more perspective of the beach, the bridge, the cypress trees, the stream, everything we love about this place.

Great beach day!! Many more photos on the Picasa site, just click on the sideshow up at the top! On the way home, Momma let me stop at Alice's Restaurant to take a few pics of the restaurant, and more importantly of the 'bike' parking lot across the street. This bike lot is usually divided up into three sections - human-powered bikes (in the minority, but usually plenty of them), with the rest of the lot dedicated to motorcycles. And there is usually a clear segregation of the crotch-rocket type bikes and the wide lumbering Harley type bikes. Today, though, everything was mixed together and it looked like a big party up in there.

Daddy even saw this custom job across the street, nice paint! I think you would look good on one of these, but you'll have to wait until you are at least 14! No, just kidding.

Anyway, little pumpkin, your George episode is almost over and it is my turn to put you to beddy. I hope it'll go quick tonight because we're all beat, you have become instantly tanned, more brown than your Momma and me put together. So it is time for that tubby time, so I gotta go! Happy Easter, we had SUCH a good time with you today!
