Maya Has a Posse

I've mentioned them before, The Gang. The Kids. The Posse...

The Posse got together the other day and began assembling and coordinating assets. I'm not sure who instigated all this, but at this point it looks fairly innocent.

BTW I have to note here that Keegan, first on the left, should go down on record as your first crush. At least if standing at an open window screaming "KEEEEEGAAAAAAAAAN! HI KEEEEEEGAAAAAAAAAAN! is indicative of a crush.
Anyway, back to the plan. Assemble the assets, previously dispersed across the block, now harnessed for a greater purpose. Thankfully the fire pit is not part of the game, at least not at this stage.

Two wagons, one with a sub-wagon trailer. A bike. Some twine/rope/whatever. And some ambition. And the pieces were assembled, and the Neighborhood Express passenger line was launched.

So it is pretty great being here on a nice block, with all these kids who love to get together with you and play. We'll see what happens when they go back to school over the next few weeks, but it has been nice having them around. You love playing with them, but sometimes you are not the best at their games. For example, the way you hide sometimes makes it easy for the other kids.

It has been a busy week, lots going on. Amongst several trips to you Great Grandma's house to go through things, you and your mom picked out some of Nonni's jewelry for you to try on. By the way, as cute as you are, and as much as she loved to see you play and have fun, anyone else who made such a mess on her carpet would have been into some serious trouble. But with you she would have been smiling, in her chair behind you, asking us if we wanted something to eat or drink or snack on.

That's it for now. Grandpa Dick was here this weekend and we got a lot done with the house, it was nice to see him. But more on that later, I'll close with a funny little shot your mom took of you playing with your tiny shovel. You are a funny kid. No idea where this face came from, but quite appropriate and well done.

These are all so cute - love the wagons. I'm so glad you guys are in a neighborhood like this. I love little Miss M's face, too. The woman is too funny. Love you Maya - Aunt Heidi
