Best thing is just to click on the above and check out the gallery, too many good pictures to post and write about each one!
First of all, we got to catch up with a whole lot of family.
You were in the wedding, and everything was looking so perfect in practice. You had to walk down some steps with your cousins and my cousin Maggie, and with no pressure it went just perfectly smoothly!
At Bernie and Ed's house you got to go fishing, and you almost caught (until it got away) the biggest fish of the whole weekend! Owen was almost very jealous.
You also got to go on boat rides, and in this picture I love the fact that you are being so safe, you've got TWO life jackets!
Owen got to drive the boat a little bit, but when he got distracted you were quick to take advantage and make sure we were able to go just a little bit faster!
And then, wedding day! It was a military wedding, on the 4th of July, so plenty of red, white and blue!
All day on the 4th it rained and threatened to rain some more, so there wasn't a final decision on outside vs. inside wedding until the last minute. Fortunately, the skies cleared for a very short time, so off to the doc we went! Or they went. You kind of flipped out for a while, and insisted you didn't want to go down to the dock, didn't want to be in the wedding, wanted to sit with me and mom. Until you saw your cousins walk down the steps, at which point you were fully on board again. Yay! Maya was in her first wedding!
Reception was awesome. After telling me to take off my tie all day, I finally did and you made quick work of it.
Your cousin Lucy Jane is just the most adorable little thing.
And you learned the trick about ringing a bell to make the bride and groom kiss. So you did it to everyone. For like an hour. You are lucky you are so darn cute.
Possibly my favorite moment was you bombing the line for the dollar dance, and dancing with Luke, the groom, with no money to give him! So your mom gave you a five dollar bill to dance with him again. You waited in line, gave him the $5, then stood him up for the dance! Not even 4 years old, and you are toying with men over money...
It was a huge amount of fun, and I'm so glad you got to see and hang out with so much family. Watching you dance with Aunt Jane was priceless. And you got to play with your cousins a whole lot. Many more good pictures from the 4th weekend to be posted, but have to leave you with my favorite picture yet of you and Owen. As you can see, both of you like the donuts.
Very cutee! Its like her own scrapbook online.
