Won't be long now...

Little Havener baby, you are on the way and we're now on an 'any day now' status. Even though your due date is a week away, your mom is real anxious to meet you. If you could make it early that would be great, but I don't expect that as you are a Havener and thus will not be early to anything.

But that still only gives us a week or so to finish getting ready for you. Even though we've been at it for months, it seems like we'll never be ready. But you have all the basics ready for you, even though everything is yellow, green, or white because we don't know if you are a Miles or a Maya. So we don't have a lot of time, and we have a lot to do, so I'm going to just fill you in on the basics.

This picture is of your mom and dad. It was taken in France. Cannes, to be exact. You were about 5 months along, so you were there too. Don't ever say we don't take you anywhere. Technically you've already been to Boston, Arizona, New York, New Jersey, and Cannes. But you weren't born yet, so you don't have any frequent flier miles. But believe me, those will come soon enough.






We live in a crazy place called "Northern California". On a good day, it can look like this.
Daddy used to go up here to ride his bike sometimes. He can't wait till you are big enough to take with him. Mommy might get scared, but daddy knows you will like to go fast. We'll just tell her we're out for a little walk in the country. She doesn't need to know you like to stand up on my handlebars and ride down the hill. We'll tell her we were out looking at birds.
