Maya Walksalotta

Maya Walksalotta - that's what we've been calling you for the last couple of days. A recurring theme you will see through this weekend's pictures. I still can't believe you are a biped. Not full time yet, and you aren't walking what anyone would call 'smoothly' (a drunken sailor is more like it). And yet...

First a quick shout out to Utena, frequent comment poster and certainly the only one around here who describes Maya as 'cute' more often than me. She sent you a shirt for your birthday, which you are modeling here along with your bear hat and a very stylish Pamper. Thanks Utena!!

You like wearing things on your head - have we covered that here yet? You like it a lot. And you like looking at yourself. And, of course, standing and walking. Here you are accomplishing all three. Maya's Multitasking.

Prepare for the cuteness...
Today we took you to the park you have been going to all week with Mom. She is right it is a bad-ass park. There is a lot for you to do there, the swings and the teeter totter and the sandbox and the stuff to climb around on.

By the way, you REALLY like planes and helicopters. This is also a great park for seeing the big planes coming into SFO and the little planes coming into San Carlos. You saw a couple planes today, and as usual everything would need to stop until they had passed from view.

We also got to swing, and swing and swing and swing! Here you are in a 'Good' hat showing off your mouthful of teeth.

Wow, that was fun. Better take a quick break with Dad and cool down. I make you laugh sometimes, it makes me feel all crazy happy...

Mom brought bubbles, and you like bubbles, and sometimes you are in the middle of having a great time, and the camera catches you and you look so serious.

But not on the teeter-totter. Nothing serious about the teeter-totter, it is just plain fun.

By the way, you love books! Love 'em love 'em love 'em. We need to get you more books. Only so many times you can hear Brown Bear, you know that one by heart and then some...
