I'm Thankful

I'm thankful for lots of things... I'm thankful we're all healthy and safe, most of all... I'm thankful for all of my family, my soon-to-be-born niece and nephew (and my already-born niece and nephew of course), my sweet Honey and of course my sweet sweetie Maya. I'm thankful we're getting back to Chicago soon, but I'm thankful it isn't too soon and I'm thankful for our time on the West Coast. I'm thankful that we didn't buy a house for $120,000 over asking price, and I'm thankful that your momma let me buy a nice road bike and puts up with me riding it every weekend.



Mostly, though, I'm thankful for you. I'm thankful you are so darned cute, and funny, and smart. I'm thankful you know about 10,000 words and speak in complete sentences and conjugate verbs correctly at two. I'm thankful you like to drive fast and climb things, but that you are also very careful. I'm thankful you already know that red means stop and green means go, and I'm thankful you fasten your seat belts, even if the seat is your booster chair at the dining table. And I'm thankful you think you are so hilarious.



I'm thankful you love books. LOVE books.



Mostly I'm just thankful you're around. I think you're pretty awesome.
