Ferrari Shopping and Curb Hopping

Today was another rainy one, and Momma was still working on her book cover, so we needed to give her some peace and quiet. We went down El Camino and dropped by a place very near and dear to Daddy's heart, to do a little window shopping.

Easy to see why Daddy loves this place, it is filled with all kinds of things Daddy would like to see in his garage.

And here is my favorite picture, it turned out so great as we were looking in the window and I was telling you about disc brakes with drilled rotors. Check us out in the reflection.

After drooling on the windows for a while, we ran around outside the dealership. You were feeling pretty saucy, so you gave me a 'check ME out' pose.

Then we found a spot perfect for your very favorite sport - curb hopping! You get lots and lots of air, sometimes jumping as much as six to eight inches off the curb! Check out this massive leap:

You were getting pretty serious today, assuming the position and winding way up to get as far into the air as possible...

And, judging by the look on your face, you really do like Curb Hopping. Perhaps you can major in it in college!

Sometimes you would take a running start, and with you going so fast and all, you'd have to throw your arms out for a little extra balance.

And then you got used to that running start, so instead of putting your arms out, you pulled them back - I suspect to be more aerodynamic and maximize your take-off speed.

After more than a few minutes of this, you were getting tired out. Not quite ready for nap time, but time to go. I tried to put you in the car seat and you had a fit, crying and insisting on riding in the front seat. I had plenty of time and there was nobody around, so I let you climb out of your car seat and climb around in the car. Then I noticed a tiny bit of your butt crack showing. Just a tiny bit though.

Plumber butt!!!

Anyway, quite a fun day again today, lots of Legos and playing with your yellow ball and even about an hour's worth of nap. Strapped into the car seat. With the car doors open and the kitchen door open so we could hear you when you woke up. Then it was time for our Super Bowl Picnic, which consisted of nachos and chili and such on a blanket in the living room. It was pretty sweet.

Now you are banging around in your room, which is easy to hear because you've turned the noisemaker off. This also means you are likely naked, and have almost certainly turned the lights on. You still insist you are scared of the dark, but when we ask you what you are scared of or why, you just quote the Curious George episode.

Well, that's it for today. But you are the sweetest, smartest, funnest kid I've ever met, and I sure do have fun tooling around with you on the weekends. Next weekend we're really going to try hard to take you sledding in the mountains. There should be plenty of snow up there with all the rain we've been getting!
