First there were the dogs to meet. Sammy and Sadie have the run of the house, and you were sure tickled every time Sadie tried to kiss you. Someone is going to want a puppy soon, I think...
We also toured the most expansive part of Grandpa Dick's estate, the garage! We got in late on Friday night, so the next morning when you looked out the window you saw his garage, and asked mom "Is that another house?" Close, little one, it is as big as a house, but only for cars and tools!
You also got to meet your step-cousins, and had a very very good time with them. Katie is pretty close to you, age-wise, and you two ran around and played hard all afternoon! Grandpa Dick isn't just good for cars and motorcycles, oh no - he has lots of kid-friendly vehicles around too!
Then you and Katie played on top of the dog run, pretending it was your house!
It was a short but really fun trip. We're going back in a few weeks for Heather's wedding, hoping to spend a little more time and see more family and friends!
Anyway, just wanted to get that posted quickly so we can talk about swimming lessons (I took you to your first lesson last night, and you were a real wimp!), the awesome haircut you got this week, and looking forward to next week when Aunt Heidi and all the cousins are here to play with! Not to mention the Green Bike which is now waiting for us to get out and ride, Father's Day coming this weekend, and everything else we've been up to!
