Your feet are so tiny, it is just amazing. I should be used to tiny baby parts after Maya, but holding you and feeling your miniature hands and feet is really something.
As your mom reminds me, we should remember this because your tiny hands and feet will never be this tiny again.
Last weekend you got to meet your Grandma Suzanne and Grandpa Dale, and your oldest cousin, Emma! Grandma and Grandpa were cool enough to bring Emma up for a visit, so Big Sister got to go downtown for a sleepover, and Grandma helped replenish the food in our freezer!
Maya and Emma had a great time, Emma is getting so big and is such a great cousin - but this trip was mostly just about looking at Baby Violet.
Your eyes are still a dark shade of blue, but dark is the key word and I suspect we'll be a 100% brown-eyed family again soon. You are amazingly strong for a little one, holding your head up already and moving around a lot. I guess when you are a full ten pounds right out of the gate, we can expect big things from our big baby! Big head, big feedings, big naps, and even big yawns! Here you are giving us a big one, while your Momma hams it up. That is one funny and cute mom you've got there...
Mostly we're still just getting to know each other. Reminding Maya every two seconds that you're fragile and you probably don't want your big sister climbing all over you and getting up in your face. Figuring out when are good nap times and when are good feeding times. Re-learning how to change diapers one-handed and doing lots of loads of whites again. Baby stuff! Looking forward to it getting warmer, staying light later, and starting to get you out of the house more!
