Happy New Year!

Who ever thought a little babay could be so darn CUTE!?!? I sure didn't. We can barely stand it, Maya, especially when you smile and laugh...

Well, Happy New Year! It has been really exciting around here for the last week or so. Not only did your Aunt Gina come to see you, and your Grandma and Grandpa Hines, and Santa, and last night it was New Year's Eve!

It was a very exciting day. Your daddy went to the gym, and then we went to the store to get everything we'll need for the rest of the weekend.



It is really cold and rainy this weekend, so we're not going ANYWHERE. And today we're sitting around in our jammies all day, watching movies and making chili and getting ready for the big football games tomorrow. I think you like your fuzzy jammies, they are nice and warm and even match your pacifier! Your eyes are so big, and so dark, and your eyelashes are getting very long, just like your cousin Emma.


Sometimes you look like you aren't real sure about this lady over here, are we SURE she's your mom?
Don't worry honey, we're sure. And she loves you VERY much.






Sometimes you lay on your little play mat, and kick and fuss with all the hangy down parts that make noise for you. You like it when you make them make noise. We don't think you've figured out how to grab stuff yet, but you sure can kick and punch them, and that works just fine as far as you're concerned..




Afterwards, you are still a little smiley, aren't ya? Yes, Maya, you are a little cutie! That's why we're going to take a little nap, so we can get up and play with you all over again!

Today you and your dad are going to work on his mountain bike, and maybe even get the bike hooked up to the trainer your mom bought him for Christmas. Then you can start taking bike rides with your daddy in the garage! I know you are real excited about that...
