The Mission, Graffiti, and Twin Peaks

Better get to it. As usual, I'm falling way behind and these have been a few VERY exciting weeks!
Much of the family, no doubt, are looking to see pictures of your trip to Chicago and Orlando, but we're not even that far along yet. This is the weekend before, when we took you up to The City.

The Mission, once taken much for granted, is a marvelous place to walk around, take pictures, see the art, and probably discover something new.












So away we went!









At first we were there, it seems, to mostly run around. This building is a public pool beside a little dog park. And behind THAT was a little kid playground, complete with sand and horses and even other kids. You sure like trying to take things from other kids.












In the Mission, you can see Sutro. That gives Daddy an idea of where to go after the Mission.












But first, we needed to go by Cellspace. It is quite a museum-quality display of art. There was a bunch of 'new' stuff there, I say new because it isn't like I drive past it on a weekly basis anymore.









We were there to get some pictures of Peat's stuff, and of course you, so we definitely got that accomplished. Here are Tree, Maya, and one of the Fat Dead Comics, plus part of the green Skully Bones. You can see much more in his gallery at Stencilrevolution.

And of course, Elepheet. You have Elepheet hanging in your room. But you never get to run past him!









Much more Peat and art to see, but we should be moving on. Moving on to Twin Peaks that is! Twin Peaks is in the middle of the city, and is also at the top if you will. Also the home of Sutro Tower, one of Daddy's many obsessions.












Oh what did I mean about Twin Peaks being at the top of The City?









I don't think you've ever been on top of a hill that big before, I wonder if you'll like it?









Oh, I think you like it! By the way, in the above pic you can see Potrero Hill, our old neighborhood - it is the hill closest to the water. About an inch to the left of your ear you'll see the cranes that were outside our windows Back In The Day.









Yes, it looks like you like it! Wow, San Francisco looks really small from up here.













That's a lot to take in for one morning! Probably time to head home for a nap. In just a few days you'll be going to Chicago for a big birthday party, then to Orlando to see your cousins. Of course, lots more pics to follow!
