For labor day weekend, we went back to Chicago to see your Grandmas. Both of them are having birthdays soon, so we knew it was going to be a busy weekend. You and your momma went early, out to Naperville, and then I met you in the city for Friday and Saturday, then back out to the suburbs again!
It was such a huge trip, I have 3 galleries up on Picasaweb - so far! So, we're going to run through the weekend kind of quick, and then I'll add more details later (yeah, way later) when I have some time.
First off, you got into town before the weekend and went to see your momma's granny, Nona. You like Nona just fine, but what you REALLY like is riding her dog. What do I mean by that? Check it out...

You also had time to take your Grammy and momma to the park, the park your momma used to play in when she was your age!
And you also got to hang out with your Aunt Gina, and you know that always makes you happy!
And your Gramma was really glad to see you..
Wow, no wonder you were so pooped out when you met me in the city at Grandma Suzanne's place! We went for a quick swim, ate, and went to bed. The next morning, you were looking quite refreshed.
We got up, had breakfast, and everyone started showing up for Grandma Suzanne's first party, an afternoon cruise on the Spirit of Chicago. You love boats honey! We went down to Navy Pier to catch the boat...
And everyone had a really nice time. After we ate, we went up to catch some rays and look at the Chicago lakefront from the lake! Grandma Suzanne was having a nice birthday, even though her birthday isn't for another several weeks.
Little did we know, you were about to crash your first wedding! When we went back downstairs, we were re-introduced to the wedding party who we ate with, and they were getting their boogies on. And you can say what you want about the Schaefer clan, they are not shy about dancing in the middle of the afternoon!
So you learned the electric slide, and everyone (well, not ME, but just about everyone else) danced it up and had a great time. The wedding party thought you were really cute, but the one they REALLY wanted to see was this little guy, your cousin Owen. He was getting his groove on big time!
It was such a great party, you didn't mind when your Uncle Sean got your nose!
Whew, about the only way to unwind after a party like that is to catch a little swim with your cousins...
The next day would see us at Grandma Suzanne's party number 2, a brunch down at Dick's last resort. No pictures of that in this gallery, these are all pictures from your momma's camera, and she didn't bring it to Dick's. Lots more pictures your momma took that weekend, though, so you'll have to check out the album itself.
