| From Christmas 2007 |
Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. We had a very nice Christmas Eve with you last night. After making a huge mess of yourself with the macaroni and cheese momma made for you, we opened some of our presents. We got out the boots Grammy got for you, and set about opening some gifts.
Your momma got me a really little remote control helicopter, which you like to hold but don't like it flying so much.
We had hot apple cider, and sampled some of the cookies you and your momma made for Santa.
You opened presents from your family, a couple of train engines (THOMAS!!!!), and here you are digging into your present from the Leonards.

It's a medical kit! It is really for your build-a-bear (or build-a-hippo in this case) but that wouldn't stop you from trying it all out for yourself:

Luckily, you picked up even MORE Thomas stuff! Wow, too bad you don't have any Thomas tracks to go with all these train engines!

For a while there your favorite present was this slick astronaut helmet. You were really excited about it, and even made me wear it for a little while.

Then it was time to set out the cookies and the nice note we wrote for Santa, and head to bed. I hope he comes I hope he comes! The big ask was for train tracks, and given all the train engines you scored,
I really hope you get some!!! Let's hope Santa hooks you up!!!
It's Thomas, it's Thomas!! Whoot whooooooooooot! Christmas morning, and indeed Santa came and brought you some train tracks! Oh, very exciting...
I'm pretty sure you like the train set.
You also got a whole slew of kitchen stuff, along with a cash register, so you've now opened up a restaurant and are charging us for juice and tea. Quite a little entrepreneur you are!
You also got the lollipop, this is something you asked for even more frequently than Thomas trains. So momma gave you one, and you really liked it.
To go with your new kitchen/restaurant, you also got some sushi! Your daddy won't embarrass himself and tell the readers how old he was before he knew what tekka maki and maguro and wasabi were. But suffice to say, you have him beat by a good twenty years.
After your stocking was emptied, you insisted on trying it on.
Aftermath... I have to imagine this scene only gets more and more epic as the years go on. But you did a pretty good job of tearing through your presents!
And not even one lump of coal! You got off lucky this year. As a parting shot, here is your daddy trying out your new camera.
Merry Christmas! By the way, no nap again today, less sleep than usual overnight, you are still real cute but half delirious. I have to imagine bedtime comes early tonight!
