Milestones, I Suppose

We couldn't be prouder tonight. Your mom and dad are still real sad, and dad is packing to go back home to Taylorville to say goodbye to Grandma Maya. You and mom are staying here, but we'll all go to Orlando next week to stay with Grandma Suzanne. Anyway, life moves on. Tonight you used your big girl potty!

Not completely, see I was daddysitting you while mommy was out running an errand. And that meant, of course, that you refused to wear any type of clothing except your cowgirl boots and birthday suit. So while you were running around, you gave me about 0.1 second's notice that you were going to peep them.

You held it as best you could, though, and we got you to the bathroom, and you sat down and went in the big girl potty! We couldn't be more proud of you.

Don't think, though, that you're out of pampers just yet. We'll wait until we return from Orlando to begin the training in earnest. I just wanted to mark the milestone with a post, so we can remember the first time Maya (productively) used her big girl potty. Yay!
