Snow

Oh Maya, Maya! Before today, you had never seen snow! Well technically, you had seen gray snow in Chicago once when you were a baby, but you had never actually rolled around and played in snow. So we decided to take you sledding.

We had to drive like 3 hours up into the Sierra, which was no biggie since you love to ride in the car. Plus we were lucky enough to have Uncle Bart with us, and he keeps you entertained.

It was a beautiful, sunshine-y, day, and when we finally got up there, we discovered it was about 60 degrees (fahrenheit). We had to keep shedding layers of clothes to keep from overheating.

Needless to say, YOU FREAKIN' LOVED IT. You played and played. And played. You rode around in the sled. You threw snowballs. You even made snow angels (your Dad and I have no idea where you learned about them).

Then you drove us home because we were exhausted. Just kidding, but you did nap in the car on the way home. It was an awesome day for everyone. And you're an awesome kid. Your Dad and I are so glad you like snow, because we'll have plenty of it next winter when we live in Chicago.

PS: Your Dad is adorable!
