Chicago Beginnings

I only have a few minutes to post, on account of you watching your favorite fuzzy little guy...

It started at the airport, with you looking out the window watching for airplanes to take off in your new pink hoodie. You insisted on keeping the hood up, and you've now fully discovered pockets. You and mom were sitting by the window, but you didn't stay in the seat for very long before you needed to get a closer look.

There goes one! You could see the pilots in the window of the plane, so you tried to get them to wave back at you.

We got up in the air, and it was a little cloudy up there! Not able to see much of the ground, but the clouds were pretty cool...

While we were up there, you really liked checking out those clouds and looking for other airplanes up in the sky.

You are so good on these airplanes, it took a long time for you to get fussy and when you did, we had your favorite fuzzy guy all ready for you on the PodPod. Thank goodness for portable video!

Finally, we made it to Chicago and to the hotel. After we ate dinner and checked in, it was time for pajamas. You wanted to wear your mom's pajamas, but unfortunately they were a little big for you, and you were trying to put on the top as a bottom!

The next day I was at an all-day meeting for work. Grandma Suzanne, Emma, and Owen came up to go to the water park with you and mom! It was pretty fun from what I hear. You were afraid of the water slide at first, until Emma gave you a little push. You were pretty freaked out on the way down, and then really excited to get back up there and do it again! And again and again. Sometimes you just need a little help to get started. No pictures of the water park, though, cameras and water don't mix too well! Now we're out in Naperville with Grammy and Grampy and Aunt Gina. This afternoon your Grammy is going to babysit for a while while we go meet with a mortgage guy, because tomorrow and Sunday are all about shopping for a new house for you in 'Oaka-Park'. You liked it yesterday when we were driving around, and we're going to see some neat houses. Tomorrow you get to meet Lucy and Jack over at Grandma Suzanne's, and you seem pretty excited about that. For now, though, this George episode is about over so I think it is time to play with some legos!
